Welcome to The other map of Amsterdam.

For Amsterdam's 750th anniversary (2025), we are giving the city a gift: a new interactive web environment that presents the city's religious heritage. The other map of Amsterdam tells the story of all the city's religious communities past and present.

In the coming period, new stories will be added to the map every week. On 27 October 2025, Amsterdam's actual birthday, the map will be complete.

Between March 12 and September 7, Our Lord in the Attic Museum pays special attention to one of the city's oldest religious traditions: the Miracle of Amsterdam (1345). An exhibition can be visited in the museum and this website highlights stories related to the Miracle.
